Counselling for adults and young people 16+

Hello, I'm Debbie and welcome to my website.

I understand that looking for a counsellor can be daunting and I hope to make it as simple as possible. Please message me if you have any questions or would like a free of charge 30 minute call to see if we feel like a good fit.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Debbie and I currently offer online/telephone/walk & talk therapy. I understand that taking the first step to find someone to talk to can be daunting. We all face struggles at various points in our life and you do not need to go through them alone. I will provide you with a confidential space, free of judgment, for you to explore whatever has brought you to counselling. Telephone and video sessions can be a convenient, comfortable option for some clients, particularly in the current climate. I also believe in the benefits of being outside, whilst exploring what's going on inside, and so if you would like to walk and talk, or meet outdoors and sit together, we can give it a try.

Practice description

We are all unique and I believe that each person will need different things from counselling. My integrative, person-centred approach, means we will work in a way that best suits you and the areas of your life you wish to explore. I am here to walk alongside you and support you as you learn more about yourself - I believe that an increased awareness of ourselves can open up doors that lead to choices and changes.

I have experience working privately, within an agency and as a volunteer counsellor.

My first session

The first session is for you to start exploring what has brought you to counselling at this point in your life. We can meet outside at an agreed public location such as a park, or I can call you on the telephone or over a video platform, such as Zoom or WhatsApp.

I believe that the counselling relationship is at the heart of the work and so please feel free to contact me by phone or email if you would like to have a conversation with me before booking in a session. I understand that you may have other commitments and so I offer flexible hours and can be accommodating for shift workers. I recognise that times are unpredictable right now and so if you find yourself in difficult circumstances financially, please let me know, as I may be able to offer reduced rates.

Let's Talk

The first step in therapy is talking. Let's find a time when we can meet and talk about what's on your mind.
